Faff-bey has never spent a lot of time hanging in studios. No video-games, fooling around or useless ball scratching. Ok, maybe little bit of that.  At the time of first recording sessions money was always short, but that was not necessarily bad for the outcome. Birthday and New Religion were not made at the same deadly speed (Hey, a week! Awesome!), and there was even time to do some experimenting. And that was not necessarily good for the outcome. 

Go figure.
